NICF - IPv6 Forum Certified Engineer (Silver)
 
Objective
With the exponential growth of the Internet, the IPv4 addresses are being consumed rapidly and all available IPv4 addresses are  expected to be exhausted by the middle of 2011. This will significantly hinder and limit the growth of the Internet and its associated economic benefits. IPv6 is the long-term solution to the issue of IPv4 exhaustion. With its 128-bit addressing capability, it will be able to offer a theoretical maximum of about 340 trillion, trillion, trillion addresses. 
 
By attending this course, trainee will:
Gain basic understanding and hands-on practice on the IPv6 protocol in order to be able to implement, configure, transition and maintain IPv6 networks.
Install and Configure a network (Competency Unit: IT-NMM-312S-1)
Install and Configure a router (Competency Unit: IT-NMM-313S-1)
Install and Configure network protocols (Competency Unit: IT-NMM-315S-1)

Module 3: ICMPV6 and the Neighbour Discovery Protocol 
Module 4: Host Support for IPv6 
Module 5: IPv6 Transition Mechanisms 
Module 6: IPv6 Routing Fundamentals
 
Target Audience
Network Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, Technical Support Associate and Associate Security Administrator.
 
Pre-Requisite
Work Experience:Preferably with 1 year experience in IT industry
Prior Knowledge: Understand IP networking protocols and concepts
Literacy: Work Place  Learning & Numeracy Level 5
Other Requirements & Considerations: Preferably with Cisco Networking Academy CCNA Discovery or Exploration
